Production, events and hospitality/Los Angeles

I make LA easy.

I live here and I produce here - so your shoot, your event, or your week in LA doesn't start from scratch.

About

Hello, I'm Jack.

I'm a British-American producer. Twenty years making unfamiliar places work for people who've just landed - tours in Argentina, travellers in Rio, five years of focus groups and national surveys on election campaigns worldwide. I co-founded the production company Mother's Best Child in London, then landed in LA myself a decade ago to set up its US side, and stayed. I live in Eagle Rock with my wife and our two boys, and I still remember arriving and not knowing how anything worked.

Now I get to be the person I wish I'd had.

  • British and American. A London desk gets a peer, not a vendor they have to explain themselves to.
  • Spanish and Portuguese. Work with me in either from the first call - plus conversational French.
  • Creator-native. I know how creators and social actually work, which service companies don't.
  • Media and events. I've founded production companies and run event programmes. Most people have done one or the other.
WiseRecent work · World Cup 2026

Food creators, the World Cup, and a lot of lunches.

I partnered with Wise for the World Cup: fly food creators Bite Twice to LA, take them to the matches, eat our way across the city in between. I sat between the brand and the creators and ran the lot - itinerary, locations, shot planning, logistics. Wise got a campaign, the creators got content for their own channels, and the branded videos performed just like their usual posts.

“Working with Jack on the Wise x Bite Twice project was a real pleasure. He brought thoughtful creative ideas and a proactive, organised approach that helped everything run smoothly. He understood how to bring Wise into the boys’ food and travel content in a way that felt natural, while keeping our brand objectives in mind. We really appreciated the care and effort he put into bringing the project to life.”

4YFNPast work · Mobile World Congress LA

Two hundred startups a year, and one week each to make it count.

4YFN is the startup side of Mobile World Congress. I ran its Los Angeles delegations - more than 200 startups a year, each landing with one week and no real idea how the city fits together. I designed those weeks one by one: investor meetings, pitch competitions, corporate innovation labs, days out, rooftop mixers, the launch and closing parties, with a network I kept warm year-round so the right people were in the room.

200+
startups through the programme every year
100+
investors, incubators and accelerators in the network behind it

Built alongside LA Tourism, LAEDC, AEG and the local organisations that make a week like that work.

What I do

I'm your man on the ground in LA.

Broadcasters, delegations, brands and creators. Planned, booked and crewed before anyone gets on a plane.

01

Make it

You need it shot here, and you haven't got a crew.

  • Video, photo and podcast production
  • Crews, editors and kit
  • Creator and influencer trips
  • Story ideas and city features

For anything from one creator to a full crew.

02

Run it

You need permits, locations and someone who knows the city.

  • Recces and location scouting
  • Permits, FilmLA and the city
  • Logistics, transport and bases
  • Translation and local hires

For media teams planning an LA operation.

03

Host it

You need your people fed, moved and looked after.

  • Arrival dinners and private chefs
  • Private events and venues
  • Nightlife that isn't a tourist trap
  • Itineraries across LA and California

For delegations, sponsors and groups.

Not on the list? Ask anyway - it's usually a call I can make for you.

Partners

Who I bring in.

Some jobs are bigger than one person. These two are who I call.

When you need a bigger team

Mother's Best Child

The production company I co-founded. When a job needs a bigger creative team - development, scripts, directors, post - I bring them in.

When you need space in LA

Cadre Partners

Offices and edit bases, unit bases, short-term leases, house takeovers, property scouting and the permits that come with them. Cadre are an integrated real estate and creative services firm here, and they handle the property side.

How I charge

Flexible ways to work together.

Every job's different, so we'll scope it on a quick call. Then you'll get a clear quote, charged one of three ways.

Day rate

For producing and consulting, by the day.

Project fee

For creator trips, campaigns and full productions. One price, agreed up front.

Percentage of spend

For events and hospitality, where I'm booking venues, chefs and suppliers on your behalf.

From $4,000

The LA Recce

A recce is a scouting trip. Three to five days on the ground with your team: venues, drive times, crews, costs, where everyone sleeps and works. You leave with a written plan, and if you book the job the fee comes off it.
